Join us for an introductory workshop in weaving. Perfect for complete beginner weavers who would like to learn the basics of weaving on a loom.

We will guide you through the basics of weaving a small scale weaving providing all the tools you will need to get started.

You will learn:  – How to warp up your timber loom – Weaving terms and tools – Learn tapestry techniques and knots including Tabby Weave, Rya Knots, Rya Loops and Soumak – How to remove your weaving from the loom ready to hang

By the end of this workshop you will have:  – Learned the basics of weaving techniques – Created your own unique weaving to take home (complete or near completion) – Skills to finish your weave or get another started

Included:  – 1 x timber loom kit – Enough fibres to complete one weaving – 1 x Calico tote bag – PDF instructional sheet
